This Monday, February 3, marks the beginning of one of DanceBlue’s favorite weeks of the year: Spring Blitz Week! It will be an exciting week full of tabling, events, and social media pushes that lead up to the individual fundraising deadline for DanceBlue 2020. Each day has a different theme and activities, and we welcome anyone to participate. Here’s a look into what is in store for this week!
Monday, February 3: Kickoff Monday
Every student has a different reason why they participate in DanceBlue. This day allows students to share their reason on the DanceBlue chalkboard and grab some yummy lemonade and popcorn inside of the Student Center and learn more about what 
DanceBlue is inside of the White Hall Classroom Building. Both locations will be running from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Show support on social media using #DBBlitzWeek and #KickoffMonday and tagging and following @uk_danceblue!
Tuesday, February 4: Transformation Tuesday
Transformation Tuesday is a social media day! Use the fun Instagram Story templates that will be posted on the DanceBlue Instagram Story to show the transformative power of DanceBlue, either in the Clinic or your personal life. Anyone is welcome to participate, and we strongly encourage posting videos of your own DanceBlue story! Use #DBBlitzWeek and #TransformationTuesday and tag @uk_danceblue for the chance to be reposted on our account.
Wednesday, February 5: Wardrobe Wednesday
Wardrobe Wednesday is all about showing your DanceBlue spirit! Visit the DanceBluetique inside the Student Center then go inside of the White Hall Classroom Building to add your thumbprint to a banner that will be hanging at the marathon. Both 
locations will be running from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cash, check, and credit card will be accepted at the DanceBluetique. Use #DBBlitzWeek and #WardrobeWednesday and tag @uk_danceblue to show your support on social media!
Thursday, February 6: 24 Hours to Donate
24 Hours to Donate consists of a big fundraising push on social media! Since there are only 24 hours left until the online fundraising deadline at 11:59 p.m. tonight, we are creating a challenge of raising $50,000 in one day. Use the Instagram Story template that will be posted to the DanceBlue Instagram Story or post your own pictures to fundraise as much as you can! If you complete the donation template and post to your Instagram Story using #DBBlitzWeek and #24HoursToDonate and tag @uk_danceblue, you have the chance to be reposted on our account!
Friday, February 7: Fundraising Friday
Friday is the finale of Blitz Week and the cash and check fundraising deadline! To celebrate, grab some tasty cookies and lemonade from inside the Student Center or learn more about DanceBlue and write a card to a kid in the Clinic inside of the 
White Hall Classroom Building. Both locations will be running from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cash and check fundraising deadline closes at 4 p.m., so make sure to turn in all of your donations into the Ticket Office at the Student Center before then!
Blitz Week is a chance to really experience the love that this campus has for DanceBlue and the kids. Whether you have never heard of DanceBlue before or you are a senior on Committee, Blitz Week is for you! Come to the tabling events, participate in the social media days, and learn about or show the community your passion for DanceBlue.
