This upcoming week is one of DanceBlue’s favorite weeks of the year: Fall Blitz Week! Starting Monday, September 23, Fall Blitz Week is a week full of tabling, events, and social media pushes that lead up to the closing of team registration for DanceBlue 2020 on Friday, September 27 at 5 p.m. Each day has a different theme and activities, and anyone is welcome to participate. Take a look at what we have in store for the week!
Monday, September 23: Why Do You DanceBlue?
Every student has a different reason why they participate in DanceBlue. This day allows students to share their reason on the DanceBlue chalkboard inside of the Student Center and grab some tasty lemonade and snacks from Elena’s Lemonade Stand outside of the Mining Minerals Building. Both locations will be running from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Show support on social media using #DBBlitzWeek and #WhyDoYouDanceBlue!
Tuesday, September 24: Teammate Tuesday
Teammate Tuesday is a social media day! Use the fun Instagram Story templates that will be posted on the DanceBlue Instagram Story to answer fun team-related questions or post your own pictures of your favorite teammates. Anyone is welcome to participate! Use #DBBlitzWeek and #TeammateTuesday and tag @uk_danceblue on Instagram for the chance to be reposted on our account.
Wednesday, September 25: Wear It Wednesday
Show off your DanceBlue spirit! Visit the DanceBluetique inside the Student Center to purchase both new and returning merchandise, then go outside of Mining and Minerals to have a photoshoot in your DB gear. Both locations will be running 
from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cash, check and credit card will be accepted at the DanceBluetique. There will also be a merchandise giveaway to the person who has the best DanceBlue Instagram Story for the day! Use #DBBlitzWeek and #WearItWednesday and tag @uk_danceblue on Instagram to enter the giveaway.
Thursday, September 26: Throwback Thursday
Throwback Thursday is another social media day! Use the Instagram Story templates that will be posted to the DanceBlue Instagram Story or post your own pictures to reminisce on past marathons. Anyone can participate! Use #DBBlitzWeek and #ThrowbackThursday and tag @uk_danceblue on Instagram to have the chance to be reposted on our account!
Friday, September 27: FTK Finale Friday
Friday is the finale of Blitz Week and team registration! To celebrate, stop by the DanceBlue chalkboard and take a picture with the gold FTK balloons in the Student Center, or grab some delicious cookies and lemonade from outside of Mining and Minerals. Both locations will be running from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. To close Blitz Week, there will be a performance of the line dance outside of the Student Center at Blazer Plaza at 1:30 p.m. Use #FTKFinaleFriday and #DBBlitzWeek to show your support on social media. Blitz Week is a chance to really experience the love that this campus has for DanceBlue and the kids. Whether you have never heard of DanceBlue before or you are a senior on Committee, Blitz Week is for you! Come to the tabling events, participate in the social media days, and learn about or show the community your passion for DanceBlue. We hope to see you soon!
