As we begin our preparation for the University of Kentucky's DanceBlue 2011, we would like to invite you to become a community partner in this student-organized and student-run fundraiser. DanceBlue continues its support for the fight against childhood cancer. Since its inception five years ago, DanceBlue has raised over $2,000,000 for the Pediatric Oncology Clinic and the Markey Cancer Center. Through students' hard work and the generosity of donors throughout Lexington and the state, we have been able to pagrovide necessary support for the families and staff in the clinic. DanceBlue has allowed for the hiring of an additional full-time social worker to counsel children and their families and has helped with the implementation of a new "Late Effects Clinic." DanceBlue works to continue to better the treatment available and to ensure that children in Kentucky receive the best care possible.
DanceBlue's mission is to help conquer childhood cancer in Kentucky. After just five short years, we have seen the effects of DanceBlue in the UK Pediatric Oncology Clinic and on students throughout campus. Corporations are an integral part of our success each year, and we encourage you to get involved with this worthy cause. Thank you in advance for joining us in this effort.

It is the mission of the University of Kentucky Dance Marathon, DanceBlue, to create a multi-faceted organization that operates through the support and leadership of the UK students, faculty, staff, administrators, and the Lexington community. The organization enhances the lives of children and families suffering from childhood cancer through the Golden Matrix Fund, and therefore serves the Bluegrass by assisting those treated at the University of Kentucky Pediatric Oncology Clinic.
