Lexington Catholic High School hosted it's second DanceBlue mini marathon during the fall of 2010 and presented UK DanceBlue with a check worth $13,763 that raised during their marathon. They had over 250 dancers participate in their marathon. That's incredible! Way to go Lexington Catholic! Your contribution will make a huge difference.
We're half way there! It's just after 8 a.m. and we're on the way to the end. Our feet may be sore and our energy may be draining but we won't take cancer sitting down! This hour is middle school dance hour. We've pulled out the fancy dresses and are prepared to take the group FTK photo towards the end of the hour. We'll post it here soon.
We just wrapped up an hour of hip-hop dancing during Big Bling Nation hour! Some students here have some serious rhythm. One hour from the half-way point and going strong. Glee hour is up next! There's someone dressed as Rachel Berry and Sue Sylvester on stage, nothing like a unicorn sweater and a track suit to make any "Gleek" excited for the upcoming theme hour! :]
How are the dancers fighting the early morning struggle for sleep? By doing Zumba! The international beats have been dropping since 5 a.m. but the dancers are still standing and having a blast.
It's Lady Gaga hour, which means the programming committee is decked out in outfits that are shiny, involve stuffed animals, glitter, glam, long blonde wigs, strings of bacon and even cereal boxes. Basically everyone is looking fierce and fabulous. Morale Teams just had a contest on who could create the most Gaga outfit. It was difficult to choose a winner with such stiff competition, but after a dance battle the top Gaga was named!
